1 DAY ONLY! Come meet the ESX Motorsports Team and Ali Afshar February 20th, 2010
February 4, 2010 by SUBARULOVERS, under Events, Subaru Performance.

As part of the 2010 Subaru Dealer Tour, Subaru Superstore of Chandler has been selected as the only dealership in Arizona to host 2 time NHRA National & World Champion driver Ali Afshar and his ESX Motorsports team for a meet & greet and autograph signing event.
Join us at Subaru Superstore of Chandler on Saturday, February 20th, from 10:00am – 4:00pm
Raised in Northern California, Ali Afshar grew up in the green Sonoma Mountains of Petaluna. His passion for speed and entertaining was evident at a very early age as his family could often find him racing motorcycles and horses at the age of 5 on their 200 acre ranch. He began his racing career in earnest winning his first High School challenge for drag racing at the Sears Point International Raceway. While pursuing his acting career in Los Angeles, Ali founded Easy Street Motorsports (also known as ESX), an automotive performance and race facility that eventually lead him to race for Subaru of America for over 7 years and achieve a certain celebrity racing status.
ESX became a 2-time NHRA National & World Champion, 18-time NHRA event champion, 2005 Rally America Champion and a world record holder! Ali built the one-of-a-kind, carbon fiber, full tube chassis, 1400HP all-wheel drive Subaru that will be featured at our event on February 20th. This vehicle won its first NOPI race in 2006 and has the record for the Worlds Quickets and Fastest Subaru. This Subaru thunders down the 1/4 mile track in 7 seconds flat at an astonishing 175MPH!
Make sure you come by the dealership on Saturday, February 20th to meet Ali and his team and see his record breaking Subaru in person!

This following excerpt is from – ABC NEWS : Experts pick the top 5 safest Cars :
In a perfect world, even the most affordable cars would be as safe as any big car on the road, and experts agree the comparative differences are, as the years go by, starting to diminish. In a tough economy, however, many car buyers are forced to weigh price alongside or even above safety, which is why the Subaru Impreza Outback Sport takes the pole position in the lower-cost bracket.
With some versions priced under $20,000, and as one of only two vehicles to turn up on both the Consumer Reports and IIHS safest cars lists, the Impreza is, well, impressive, pointed out Mike Quincy, an automotive analyst at the Consumer Reports test center. “It’s a small wagon, has very reliable brakes, electronic stability control, all-wheel drive; it just handles well,” Quincy said.
