ALI AFSHAR EVENT UPDATE — Miss Hot Import Nights / Officer Tom Gibby and his Subaru WRX STI Police Car

We’ve been working hard in preparation for the Ali Afshar & ESX Motorsports event coming up on February 20th, and we are excited to announce some new additions to the program. We have now confirmed that Miss Hot Import Nights will be attending the event, signing posters and posing with fans. (See picture below)
Also, we are excited to announce have secured Officer Tom Gibby with North Texas Beat the Heat, his 2009 Subaru WRX STI Police Car, and his brand new 2010 Super Stock Impreza, the first Import racecar entered in the (Domestic) DX/MX Super Stock category. This is NHRA History!

Subaru’s Southwest Region Directors Mike Campbell and Tim Murphy helped them purchase a Tribeca 6 cylinder engine and installed new rods and pistons along with 2 Turbonetic’s 62mm turbochargers, expected to produce around 1000HP. Officer Gibby’s Impreza should have an 1/4 ET of 7.90, trumping the NHRA World Record held by a Chevy at 8.75.

You know, I have to tell you, I really enjoy this blog and the insight from everyone who participates. I find it to be refreshing and very informative. I wish there were more blogs like it. Anyway, I felt it was about time I posted.
