What is a Subaru PZEV?
March 1, 2010 by SUBARULOVERS, under Featured Vehicles, Green Vehicles, Subaru Performance.

As a car company dedicated to families and outdoor adventurers, Subaru has become known for its commitment to a cleaner environment. With its strict policy at the Lafayette, Indiana plant, no product ever gets dumped in a land fill. Instead, materials are recycled or burned off and used to generate power for the production facility. Additionally, Subaru offers PZEV, or Partial Zero Emmission Vehicles, on select models to help keep the air clean as you romp through mountain roads or tool around town with your kids on the way to soccer practice.
PZEV technology provides you with one of the cleanest vehicles on the market today, arguably more than hybrid vehicles! Hybrid vehicles have batteries which must eventually be dumped in a land-fill, an inconvenient truth about battery-powered vehicles. Also, PZEV vehicles use regular gasoline, so you’re not inconvenienced at the pump, either. Not only is PZEV easy on the wallet, it’s also good for the soul. Imagine trekking up to your favorite mountain top getaway and taking a deep breath of fresh air, knowing that you’re helping to keep it that way.
PZEV technology is offered on select Subaru models such as the Outback and Forester, and well worth a look if you’re considering purchasing a greener vehicle. Come in and visit our friendly staff at Subaru Superstore of Chandler and we’ll give you a complete run-down on which models are available with PZEV.
