Subaru Superstore May Carry Subaru Hybrid As Early as 2013
July 12, 2011 by SUBARULOVERS, under Green Vehicles, New Subaru Models, Subaru News.
After years of rumors, Subaru has officially confirmed it will launch it’s first-ever Subaru Hybrid in 2013.
The Subaru Hybrid will be part of Subaru’s “Motion-V” plan, which will roll out three new models and an undisclosed gas-electric vehicle by 2013. Details on the new gas-electric system – or which Subaru models will be offered with it – are still scarce, but it’s rumored to be put on the Legacy or Impreza platform and compatible with both Subaru BOXER engines and all-wheel-drive systems.
Some reports also say the 2013 Subaru Hybrid will feature corporate parent Toyota’s hybrid technology and based on the automaker’s Hybrid Tourer concept, which debuted at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. (See Hybrid Tourer photo above.)
The 2013 Subaru Hybrid will be a welcome addition to Subaru Superstore’s lineup of Subaru models, which will include the all-new 2012 Subaru Impreza sometime mid-August.
