Meet Dave Mirra at Subaru Superstore November 13!

Mark your calendars for November 13, because Subaru Superstore in Chandler is hosting the 2011 Battle of the Brands car show, featuring a special meet-and-greet with Subaru Rally Team USA driver Dave Mirra!
Many remember Dave Mirra from his pro BMX days, where he holds the record for most total X Games medals, as well as the record for most Gold medals. Mirra is one of the world’s best-known Action Sports athletes and is credited with bringing freestyle BMX into the mainstream.
Here’s a little more about Dave Mirra’s rise to rally racing fame.
Dave Mirra Bio – Subaru Rally Team USA
Dave Mirra’s need for speed and love of cars led him to become hooked on rallying after friend, and former Subaru Rally Team USA driver, Ken Block introduced him to the sport. Mirra completed training with the Subaru Rally Team USA in late 20007 and took home 2008 Rookie of the Year honors after competing in the 2008 Rally America National Championship. He impressed everyone in his rally debut at X Games 14, where he earned a Bronze medal after beating two top North American drivers in head-to-head heats.
In 2009, Dave Mirra’s rally program was expanded with increased support from Subaru of America Inc. and Monster Energy. He joined fellow Subaru Rally Team USA drivers Ken Block and Travis Pastrana at seven rounds of the 2009 Rally America National Championship, competing in the new Super Production class. In 2010, Dave piloted an Open Class Subaru Impreza WRX STI with co-driver Martin Headland at five Rally America rounds and also at X Games 16 in Los Angeles.
New for 2010 was the RallyCar Rally Cross series held at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey. This is a European style race on a mixed tarmac & gravel course where multiple cars race head to head. Dave was highly successful at this new discipline earning podium finishes at two of the three rounds. For 2011 Dave Mirra will be piloting his Open Class SRT USA #40 STI at all Rally America events.
Meet Dave Mirra at Subaru Superstore
Come to Subaru Superstore November 13 to meet Dave Mirra in person at the 2011 Battle of the Brands car show. Mira will be on hand to sign autographs and shake hands with Subaru enthusiasts at the special meet-and-greet event.
Car enthusiasts of all kinds will enjoy the Battle of the Brands car show and competition, which will pit Subaru, Honda and Acura models against each other in classes that include Vintage, Modified, Street Legal, Not Street Legal and Race to see which car wins the grand prize trophy and bragging rights as the 2011 Battle of the Brands winner.
Subaru Superstore will also debut the 2012 Subaru Impreza – the most fuel-efficient all-wheel drive car in America – at the event, in addition to offering food, drinks, live entertainment, raffles and vendors for all who attend.
