Show Us Your Love – Like Father, Like Son.

June 8, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

Growing up as a kid I grew up into a family of Subaru’s, every year dad went and bought the latest and greatest Subaru wagon. we were always a road tripping family with 2 kids 2 dogs and mom and dad in the Subaru, I learned how to drive a 5spd in a Subaru, and steer on occasion on a straight empty highway, so you could say I first drove a Subaru. By then I vowed from those days on that I was eventually going to own a Subaru just like my dad. In march of 2009 I found my Subaru hiding in the back of a used car lot, it had only 85,000mi on it and was a one owner car, I paid 1500$ for the car. It has driven me everywhere I’ve wanted to go, and has by far been the best car I have ever owned.. It certainly was a dream come true, I wouldn’t sell it for any amount of money, thanks Subaru for an awesome car!

Show Us Your Love – Subaru Love At First Drive.

May 31, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

I bought my Subaru 2007 Impreza 2.5i in May of 2009. I test drove it and immediately knew that this car would never let me down. When I bought the car exactly two years ago this month it had 20,000 miles. I got very ill that same month and could not drive for a little while, which was killing me. But once I got to drive again, it was like putting on my most comfortable pair of pants. I feel like owning a Subaru isn’t just owning a car, it becomes a hobby, or an extension of yourself. My friends and family know that I will have this car until I pass it to my kids. Then I will get another Subaru. I have taken it on many beach trips, road trips to family, and just driving everyday, I am proud to say I am at 65,000 miles now. The ownership of a Subaru is like nothing else, you feel like you are part of a family. Every morning I wake up and get excited to drive my Subaru to work. LOVE.

Show Us Your Love – Super Roo

May 26, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

I am the proud owner of a 2003 WRX. It is a limited edition Sonic Yellow model with unique features. One of only 1500 imported to the US that year. It is quick, stylish, comfortable and reliable. I will never part with the special love of my life.

I have mildly modified the automobile. It is very easy to find parts, but Subaru did such a good job I did not want or need to change too much.

Show Us Your Love – Little Blue Bus

May 26, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

Through a long weird set of circumstances I ended up with this Subaru from an ex. I never really was into the 4-bangers but figured since I was going into college I would need a daily driver. Subaru’s had always looked appealing to me and after some research I decided to modify it to my liking. It started off with everything it came from factory including the EJ18 engine. Since, I have added a Stromung Exhaust, Borla Headers, 16″ WRX wheels, Pink JDM STI lowering springs and a EJ22 conversion. I love my Scooby and would never trade it for anything else in the world except for another Subie. That’s how I show my Subaru love!

Show Us Your Love – My Subaru Love

May 26, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

The 96 legacy was the first Subaru I bought. I needed a reliable car to get me from school and work to home and I would feel okay doing everything living in Portland. That car made it through so much and still runs like a champ. My new Subaru is getting as much love as before. I take it and enjoy the AWD system and the way it handles in the city. I will never buy another car besides a Subaru.

Show Us Your Love – New People, New Places, Same Old Subaru….

May 20, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

In early 2010 I packed up my Subbie, filling it with as many belongings as I could carry in the trunk and cabin of the car. This would be all I have to start a new life somewhere new…

I trusted my STI to make the 1,600 mile trek from Seattle, WA to Scottsdale, AZ where I would be starting a new job and new life. During this voyage I had not one problem with my Subaru, it ran like a champ showing its true strength. I enjoyed the drive down the coast doing things with my Subaru I had never done such as going to the ocean in San Diego and cruising the open desert. I would not expect anything less from a Subaru!

I owe everything I have now to my Subaru STI. It has brought me to a new place where I started a new job that lets me work on Subarus everyday. I can continue to use my passion for these cars and performance to help others experience the same fun I had with my car.

Show Us Your Love – My Subaru Did What It’s Made For- Protect Me!

May 17, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

On July 1, 2010, on my way home from a doctor’s appointment, I was hit from the rear by another car. I had stopped due to the traffic stopped ahead of me. Out of nowhere, my ’09 Subaru took the impact of a hit, estimated at 45/50 mph.

The airbags went off in the Audi that hit me. It was totalled. In my Subaru, my seat, upon impact, collapsed back to a reclining position, just as it was meant to do. This saved me from a severe whiplash. I of course did suffer from whiplash, but nothing like what it should have been if it had not been for the wonderful engeneering of my Subaru Outback.

The pictures that I uploaded, show the damage to the rear of my car, including the inside of the rear, where the floor was bent up on the inside. The car that hit us bent the trailer itch way down and bent it up into the floor. We drove the newly designed 2010 Subaru Outback for 2 months while our ’09 was in repair. The design of the ’10 was and is so impressive that when we got our ’09 out of the repair shop, we went and traded it in for a 2011 Subaru outbak Limited and have never been happier than the day the ’09 Subaru protected me from severe injuries.

Show Us Your Love – Spring Forward-Treating Your Subaru Right

May 13, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

Part of every spring cleaning, I always check my brake pads-seen here on the lift. I never wait until I hear squealing-by then you may damage your rotors. Get the car detailed-maintaining that ‘show room shine’, then.. enjoy. A clean, shiny, meticulously maintained car always feels new.

Show Us Your Love – A Need for Speed…

April 27, 2011 by , under Show Us Your Love, Show Us Your Love Contest.

It all starts with my 2004 Wrx while I was 18, and the quiet spring day that started all wrong. It was a nice day out and I had plans to head to downtown Chicago with my friends. As we get into the subey, my friend points out the need to wear seat belts. I agree with the conversation and then we start on our journey. About 5 miles into it, I get caught up at a stop light on a four lane highway. I am the first car, and since I love my Wrx and have spent time and money making the performance better I take off like a bat out of hell. Nothing is strange at this point, and the music from the radio is jamming. We get going pretty fast just at and around 100 mph. This is where things take a turn for the worst. There is a perpendicular road that crosses my path that does not have a stop light. I watch as a Suburban crosses into the middle and just as soon as he is about to stop like you are suppose to, he takes off. I’m not saying he rolled through, I’m saying I could see the torque and the front of his truck lift off. He was just simply trying to get across before the traffic was there. Little did he know that I was traveling at such a high rate of speed.

At this point I am in the deadlock stare of an accident. I have 3 choices; 1) Slam the breaks and pray I can avoid. 2) Try to steer the car around the backend of the stretched suv. 3) Gas it and go around the front of him.
I took option 3; I literally avoided a collision by gassing it and cutting in front of this SUV of doom. I’m so close I can see the radiator through his grill. This is when it gets interesting.

Due to me cutting in front of the suburban and with my speed near 105, I quickly try to get back onto the pavement. I had two tires on and two tires off the road. I went into a death spin, with such a high speed I helicopterd over the median which is 3 feet below the road and travel across 4 lanes of traffic. I end up about 300-400 ft from the original spin out and ended up taking down signs and trees along the way. That day I spent in jail for reckless driving, speeding and a few more charges.

As I am sitting there in disbelief what happened; I come to a realization. I wasn’t hurt, nor did the crash hurt the passenger in my car. I did not hit another vehicle and was astonished on how safe we were in an almost impossible scenario. The air bags never deployed due to no head on hit.
