Subaru’s Anti-lock Braking System comes standard on all Legacy models

November 16, 2010 by , under Featured Vehicles, Uncategorized.

Providing top-notch safety features is something Subaru takes seriously.  That’s why key accident avoidance components like the Anti-lock Braking System come standard on new Subaru Legacy models.  The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) pulses braking power to prevent wheel lock-up.  Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) reapportions braking force to help maintain vehicle stability and control, and Brake Assist senses panic-stop situations, applying full force to help you brake faster.  Braking safety allows you to drive more confidently and keep your passengers safer, too!

The 2011 Mediocrity vs. 2011 Subaru Legacy

November 1, 2010 by , under Featured Vehicles, Uncategorized.

“The Mediocrity mission is to manufacture the most mainstream mid-size sedan on the road today.  Our company is extremely dedicated and passionate about ‘middle-of-the-road.’  Each and every day, we strive for predictability, unoriginality and no-frills utilitarianism for all of your transportation needs.  The 2011 Mediocrity will get you from A to B without anybody ever noticing, and that’s a good thing.”

This witty campaign is Subaru’s humorous way of delivering a scathing commentary on the mid-size, mid-price sedans on dealerships lots today.  Providing a mock picture of what most American car consumers experience as they shop the mid-size market, the 2011 Mediocrity epitomizes the unimpressive, uninspired lackluster offerings available in most “new” cars.

Without any bells or whistles to offer in its trim packages, the color choices of the Mediocrity range from beige to drab.  View the vehicle, build your own, or connect with the Mediocrity Fan Club on Facebook for some tongue-in-cheek fun and a great way to kill time when you’ve got nothing better to do.  Even play the Mediocrity video game that puts you on the road to nowhere, literally, or take the Mediocrity quiz and answer questions such as: “What do you enjoy most, folding socks or swimming with dolphins?”

Performance Enthusiasts speak out

October 19, 2010 by , under Featured Vehicles, Subaru Performance, Uncategorized.

In their own words, Subaru Impreza WRX owners explain why they made the choice to own a high-performance Subaru, and why they love to drive it.

Subaru: What attracted you to your WRX?

Impreza WRX Owner: I have a 1 1/2 hour commute to work each way, and I discovered that that my drive is much more tolerable (enjoyable, even) if I had a car that was a real “driver’s” car. Something that had personality. And was quick! So I looked for something fast and affordable. I also needed decent gas mileage. As a car enthusiast, I already knew about the WRX and right away that appealed to me. Plus, I’ve always liked wagons for their versatility. So a WRX wagon seemed perfect! My co-worker listens to me talk about cars a lot, so he suggested that I trade in my Versa (which was a nice car, but as much fun to drive as a dishwasher) and find a WRX.

Subaru: Why did you get the STI?

Impreza WRX Owner: I chose the STI because of the styling. It just seemed to be more my kind of car. Ever since the WRX came on to the market, I was intrigued. And then the STI came…and I was like, “Seriously. For real?” In my opinion, it’s still the MOST sports car you can buy for the money.

Subaru: What do you haul?

Impreza WRX Owner: I didn’t buy my STI to fill it up with anything other than gasoline, so the only thing I haul is butt. Luckily, this is exactly why I bought my STI. I am gentle with my car, but I do appreciate the feeling of acceleration. The one feature I could not live without is the turbocharger! Oh, I just remembered – last year I filled the trunk with bags of mushroom compost from the garden store and put a couple of flats of flowers on the front seat.

Impreza WRX owners are a special breed.  Are you a performance-junky?  Or maybe you just like being able to add on your own performance accessories to build your own dream car.  Either way, the experts at Subaru Superstore of Chandler can help get you started.  Stop by and talk with a sales specialist today!

Subaru’s 2011 Legacy, family sedan with a kick

October 19, 2010 by , under Dealership News, Featured Vehicles, Subaru Performance, Uncategorized.

The new 2011 Subaru Legacy is not your typical family sedan.  But who wants to be typical?  In fact, Edmunds.com says “If you’re the sort of person who doesn’t automatically follow the crowd, the 2011 Subaru Legacy is a solid, non-conformist choice.”
