For a Limited Time – Get Your Battery Serviced for Only $19.95!
May 2, 2011 by SUBARULOVERS, under Promotions.
All Subaru vehicles are equipped with maintenance-free batteries, but don’t let the term “maintenance-free” mislead you – these batteries do require some attention to maintain their cleanliness and efficiency.
Over time, battery connections can become loose or corroded and can dramatically diminish your car’s starting power; and if the connections grow loose or crusty enough, they can shut off your car’s electrical flow so that you think you have a dead battery.
It’s extremely important to have your car’s battery regularly checked by a Subaru-trained technician. Thankfully, Subaru Superstore is currently offering a Battery Charging System Service for only $19.95. Our skilled service technicians will inspect and clean your battery’s terminals and cables, test the battery, and test its charging and starting systems to ensure that all components are operating properly.
Don’t get caught with a dead battery in the Arizona desert. Click here to download the battery maintenance coupon and then call Subaru Superstore to schedule your service appointment: (480) 268-2400. Offer expires May 31, 2011.

Subaru Hosts Dining Out for Life at Phoenix-Area Restaurants
April 15, 2011 by SUBARULOVERS, under Promotions.
Save the date – and your appetite – for April 28! Subaru is joining with some of the Phoenix area’s best restaurants for Dining Out for Life 2011, an annual one-day fundraiser that will benefit Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS.
Nearly 50 restaurants in the Phoenix-metropolitan area will be participating by donating 25%, 50% or even 100% of their proceeds on April 28 to Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS, Arizona’s largest nonprofit AIDS service organization serving more than 70% of those impacted with HIV/AIDS in our state.
Subaru of America is proud to mark its fifth year as International Host Sponsor of Dining Out for Life, which will be held at more than 3,500 restaurants in nearly 60 cities across North America. Each restaurant will donate a generous percentage of each check to their local AIDS service organization.
“Dining Out For Life will raise necessary funds to address the increasing demand for AIDS care throughout the U.S. and Canada,” says Dining Out For Life International Board President Stacie Walls-Beegle. “The 56 participating organizations provide critical life-saving services to many people living with HIV/AIDS, and this event is unique because the money raised in each city stays in that city.”
“We know that Dining Out For Life is aiming to raise $4 million in just one day, and we’re pleased to be able to help,” adds Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Subaru and its drivers have a long history of caring about community causes, and we’re proud to play a part in helping to raise crucially needed funds in the fight against AIDS.”
You can find a list of participating Arizona restaurants at www.DiningOutForLife.com/Phoenix. New restaurants are signing up daily! You can also enter to win a $100 gift card by participating by clicking here.

Subaru Car Care Tips
April 11, 2011 by SUBARULOVERS, under Promotions, Subaru Service.
April is National Car Care Month, the perfect time of year to give your Subaru a little TLC. Basic maintenance can go a long way toward improving the safety and dependability of your car – not to mention avoiding costly repairs down the road.
“Neglected vehicle care almost always means much higher costs down the line in the form of more extensive repairs or lost resale value,” says Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “Chances are if you own a car, it needs some work. National Car Care Month in April is the perfect time to focus on your vehicle’s maintenance needs.”
Give your Subaru a much-needed annual checkup with these 10 basic maintenance procedures to keep your vehicle operating at its best. Our friendly, highly-trained Subaru Service Department will be happy to do it for you. In fact, we’re offering FREE service inspections the entire month of April!
• Check the oil, filters and fluids. Oil should be checked at every fill-up and changed per the owner’s manual recommended intervals. Brake, transmission, power steering, coolant and windshield washer fluids should also be checked regularly. Your car’s filters, including those for the transmission, fuel system and interior ventilation, need regular inspection and replacement.
• Inspect hoses at each oil change and have them replaced when leaking, brittle, cracked, rusted, swollen or restricted. Check V-belts and serpentine belts for looseness and condition, and have them replaced when cracked, frayed, glazed or showing signs of excessive wear. Typically replace the timing belt between 60,000 and 90,000 miles or the interval specified in the owner’s manual to avoid a breakdown or serious engine damage.
• Check the engine brake system every year and have the brake linings, rotors and drums inspected at each oil change.
• Check that the battery connection is clean, tight and corrosion-free. The battery should be securely mounted. If it is three years old or more, the battery should be tested and replaced if necessary.
• Inspect the exhaust system for leaks, damage and broken supports or hangers if there is an unusual noise. Exhaust leaks can be dangerous and must be corrected without delay.
• Schedule a tune-up that will help the engine deliver the best balance of power and fuel economy and produce the lowest level of emissions.
• Check the car’s heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system as proper heating and cooling performance is critical for interior comfort and for safety reasons, such as defrosting.
• Inspect the steering and suspension system annually, including shock absorbers and struts, and chassis parts, such as ball joints, tie rod ends and other related components.
• Check the pressure of all tires, including the spare, at least once a month. Check the tread for uneven or irregular wear and cuts and bruises along the sidewalls. Have your car’s alignment checked at least annually to reduce tire wear and improve fuel economy and handling.
• Test exterior and interior lights and have bulbs that are not working checked immediately. Replace windshield wiper blades every six months or when cracked, cut, torn, streaking or chattering for optimum wiping performance and safety.

Subaru Superstore Supports National Car Care Month with FREE Multi-Point Inspections
April 4, 2011 by SUBARULOVERS, under Promotions.
Subaru of America is once again celebrating the Car Care Council’s National Car Care Month in April by offering free vehicle diagnostic inspections for Subaru vehicles at participating dealers across the country, including Subaru Superstore.
Subaru’s theme for this year’s program is “MPG: Maintenance Preserves Gas,” which underscores the importance of regular vehicle maintenance when it comes to maximizing any vehicle’s fuel economy.
“Millions of dollars worth of gasoline is wasted every day by motorists, because simple and inexpensive vehicle maintenance is neglected. Loose or missing gas caps, under-inflated tires, worn spark plugs and dirty air filters all contribute to poor fuel economy,” said Rich White, the Car Care Councils’ executive director.
Subaru Superstore is supporting National Car Care Month by offering free service inspections, which include those items that most affect your MPG. Schedule your FREE multi-point Service Inspection with Subaru Superstore today. The inspection takes less than 30 minutes and it includes a full written report of your vehicle’s condition. There is no cost or obligation.

Kiplinger’s Names Three Subaru Models “Best in Class,” “Best in Resale”
March 14, 2011 by SUBARULOVERS, under Promotions.

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance – the magazine that helps consumers make their money work – has named three Subaru models its 2011 “Best in Class” and “Best Resale” designation.
“We are very pleased that consumers who do their research with Kiplinger’s Personal Finance will notice that Subaru vehicles stand out in several categories,” said Tom Doll, executive vice president and COO, Subaru of America, Inc. “We strive to bring unparalleled performance, value and safety to consumers. We know that all three are important in the decision-making process, especially with big ticket purchases.”
The Subaru Forester 2.5 XT Premium AWD earned “Best in Class” for Small Crossovers, while the Subaru Forester 2.5i LTD AWD won “Best in Class” and “Best Resale” in the Wagons category. The popular Impreza WRX AWD four-door was named “Best Resale” in the $25,000 to $30,000 category.
Kiplinger’s evaluates “Best in Class” winners on performance, value and safety. “Best Resale” winners were selected using the Kelley Blue Book’s estimated trade-in price.
Kiplinger’s notes that the Forester — also recognized by the publication in 2009 as the “Best New Crossover” — boasts “agile handling, high resale values, [and] loads of cargo space.” The Forester, like all other Subaru models, is also a 2011 IIHS Top Safety Pick.
2011 is the second year that the Outback was awarded “Best in Class.” In addition to “stylish design, strong resale values and heaps of utility,” the publication calls the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine “powerful without pushing down fuel economy.”
Kiplinger’s also explains that the “turbocharged version of the Impreza boosts the three-year resale value from the base model’s 51% to 55% — and bumps up horsepower by 95 to 265 horses. That’s a feat few in this category can achieve with only four cylinders.”
As the largest dealership in the Southwest, Subaru Superstore boasts one of the largest selections of Subaru Forester, Outback and Impreza models. We’re currently offering incredible deals as part of our Subaru Love Spring Event, including financing as low as 0% for the 2011 Impreza, 1.9% for the 2011 Forester, and 2.9% for the 2011 Outback.
